The Sannio FilmFest is the only international festival entirely dedicated to films in period costume. Its seat is one of the most charming, fascinating places in the Region of Campania: the medieval town of Sant'Agata dei Goti, situated in the magnificent valley of Sannio Beneventano. Its particular originality lies in the paying homage to the category of costumes and set designers, the genuine artists that work untiringly in the wings. It is a theme festival with an abundance of screenings, encounters, retrospectives, awards and exhibits with the aim of making known and valorising a main sector of cinema that is a determining factor in th success of many films. The chairmanship has been entrusted to the Oscar-winning costume designer, Sandy Powwel, who contributes to lending an international flavour and quality to the event. The even is part of the culturayl proposals of "journey through creativity", created by Campania Region.
